2004 Cabernet Merlot Shiraz
Deep red with purple hues. The bouquet displays lifted mixed berry
characters of the Cabernet Sauvignon and soft fruity merlot which
is enhanced by soft oak and spicy Shiraz. A well-balanced, succulent
wine with good length and depth of flavour. Seamless blending has
retained elegant varietal characters of berries and supple tannins.

Vintage Report
|
A season characterised by start stop conditions commenced with good
winter rains and a mild spring, which encouraged strong vine development and
slow ripening. Slow, even ripening conditions were maintained throughout
January allowing for full flavour development. Harvest was later than normal
and most white varieties were in when a heat wave hit bringing production to
a stand still for two weeks. March saw better conditions. Whites faired well
with good colour in the reds.
